For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dresden, Tabakkontor, Tabakfabrik ADN-ZB Häßler 27.7.88 Dresden: Die "Yenidze", das im islamischen Stil errichtete Verwaltungs- und Lagergebäude des VEB Tabakkontor, ist eines der markantesten Bauwerke Dresdens. Es wurde 1909 als erster Industriekomplex in Deutschland in Stahlbetonskelettbauweise errichtet und steht heute unter Denkmalschutz. Architekt war der damals 29jährige Martin Hamnitzsch. Zur Zeit nutzen drei junge Künstler - die Gruppe Meier - die Glaskuppel des Gebäudes zur Verwirklichung ihres Projekts "Raum - Konzeption". (siehe 6N)
