For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Wittenberge, Abfluss des Papierwerks in die Elbe ADN-Pätzold 2.5.90 Bez.Schwerin-Zellstoffwerk- Weiße Schaumkronen auf der Elbe sind Beleg für die Umweltsünden, die vom Zellstoff- und Zellwollewerk Wittenberge begangen werden. Mit der baldigen Schließung der gesamten Zellglas- und der Drosselung der Zellwollefertigung soll u.a. die Abgasmenge des Betriebes um rund 40 Prozent gesenkt werden. Schnelle Investitionen würden hier umweltfreundlicheres Produzieren ermöglichen und 2.000 Arbeitsplätze sichern helfen.
