Berlin, Wiederaufbau des U-Bahn-Netzes

Illus/Kindermann Berlin, August 1945 Schwere Schäden am U-Bahnnetz Die Berliner U-Bahn verkehrt mit nur ganz wenigen Unterbrechungen fast durchweg wieder. Leider behindern gerade an den wichtigsten Knotenpunkten noch sehr schwere Schäden die Wiederaufnahme des Verkehrs. Dank der fieberhaften Arbeit wird man aber in wenigen Wochen so weit sein, daß Tausende Berliner nicht mehr täglich kilometerlange Wege zurücklegen brauchen.

Besonders schwere Schäden müssen am Gleisdreieck behoben werden.

Deutsch: Brücke der heutigen U2 über dem Landwehrkanal. Die Stahlbögen der Brücke sehen heute noch so aus. Rechts sind dann noch die Brücken und Viaduktbögen der Gleise der S-Bahn zum Ring- und Vorortbahnhof am Potsdamer Platz zu sehen.
