For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Begutachtung des Getreides Zentralbild TBD-Wlocka (2351)-Ra-Ho.-22 Motive-22.7.1954 Das erste Getreide dem Staat - Am 21.7.1954 begann die Maschinen-Traktoren-Station Bekstedt bei Erfurt mit der Ernte. Der örtliche Landwirtschaftsbetrieb Kerspleben, mit einem Plan von 11,5 ha Wintererste, war das erste Land, das der Mähdrescherführer Kurt Landherr mit dem Schichtführer Helmut Christ abernteten. Kurt Landherr verpflichtete sich, in der diesjährigen Getreideernte 220 ha mit seinem "Stalinez IV" zu bearbeiten. UBz: vlnr Feldbaubrigadier Josef Tischi von dem örtlichen Landwirtschaftsbetrieb Kerspleben bei Erfurt, der Bürgermeinster von Kerspleben, Gerhard Meisel und der Agronom der Maschinen-Traktoren-Station Eckstedt, Harry Wöhnert, prüfen das Getreide auf seine Reife.
