For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild Klein 3 Mot. 17.1.1955 Wanderausstellung des Amtes für Zoll- und Warenkontrolle bei der Deutschen Post Eine Wanderausstellung des Amtes für Zoll- und Warenkontrolle bei der Deutschen Post zeigt den Inhalt von Päckchen, in welchen sich die aus Westdeutschland illegal eingeschmuggelten Gegenstände versch-. Art befanden. Lehrlinge des Lehrkombinats für Post- und Fernmeldewesen, Berlin Scharnhorststrasse, besichtigen die aufschlußreiche Ausstellung. UBz: Kollege Blättermann von der Deutschen Post zeigt den Lehrlingen ein eingeschmuggeltes Zeitungshemd, bereits datiert mit dem 22. Februar 1955. Die Aufnahme dagegen wurde während der Ausstellung, am 12.1.1955 gemacht.
