For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Biscan Wjt-Qu 7 Mot. 25.3.1955 Die evangelische Martini-Kirche in Magdeburg-Neustadt Diese Kirche, 1902 erbaut, war die jüngste Kirche der Stadt, als sie im Januar 1945 durch Brandbomben zerstört wurde. In der Bombennacht stürzte die Turmspitze ein. Der Glockenstuhl wurde wieder instandgesetzt und die Glocke wieder in Benutzung genommen.
