For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Krueger ,27.4.1955 MTS "Wilhelm Pieck" im Obhausen - Initiator des Vorbildlichen Planes zur Steigerung der landwirtschaftlichen Produktion Seit Bestehen der konsequenten Brigardeordnung wird für jede Brigarde eine graphische Darstellung gehalten, auf der die Arbeiter der einzelnen Traktoren-aufgeschlüsselt nach Feld- und Transportarbeiten-aufgeführt werden. Die Eintragung erfolgt täglich, so dass ständig ein guter Überblick über die Leistungen der einzelnen Traktoren vorhanden ist. Ilse Walther, Brigardeabrechnerin für Brigarde I, zeigt dem Traktoristen Richard Weidemann die Eintragung vom Vortag auf der graphischen Darstellung."
