For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Jürgen Simon Zentralbild Wendorf-Quasch. Erstes Mannschaftsrennen der Saison Nach den zwei Hallenradsportveranstaltungen in der Berliner Werner-Seelenbinder-Halle gab es am Mittwoch, dem 11. Januar 1956, das "Erste Mannschaftsrennen der Saison". Bemerkenswert ferner der neue DDR- und deutsche Rekord von Jürgen Simon (SC Einheit), der sich nun auch über 500-m mit fliegendem Start in die Rekordliste eintrug. UBz: Jürgen Simon bei seiner Rekordfahrt in der Berliner Werner-Seelenbinder-Halle. Die neue Bestzeit:31,5 Sekunden.
