For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Berlin, Jugendweihe Zentralbild Quasch. 15.4.1956 Immer mehr festliche Jugendweihen in Berlin und der DDR In diesen Wochen strömen an den Sonntagvormittagen die Teilnehmer an den Jugendstunden in die Theater, Kulturhäuser und festlichen Säle der Städte und Dörfer, um im Beisein der Eltern, Verwandten, Lehrer und Schulfreunde die Jugendweihe zu empfangen. 180 Teilnehmer aus dem Berliner Stadtbezirk Friedrichshain nahmen in der Volksbühne Berlin am 15.4.1956 Urkunde und Buchpräsent bei der Jugendweihe entgegen. UBz: Von Vater und Mutter empfangen wurde Ingrid Dornbusch aus der Schreinerstrasse, die an den Jugendstunden und der Jugendweihe teilgenommen hatte.
