For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Uhlig, Graf, Werner Scharch Zentralbild Wendorf 23.7.1956 DDR-Meisterschaften der Bahnfahrer in Berlin-Weissensee Vom 22.7. bis 28.7.1956 finden auf der Radrennbahn in Berlin-Weissensee die Meisterschaften der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik im Bahnfahren statt. Zum ersten Male haben die Radsportfreunde damit Gelegenheit, die Bahnmeisterschaften in Berlin mitzuerleben. UBz: Der Präsident der Sektion Radsport der DDR Werner Scharch zeichnet die neuen Meister im Zweier-Mannschaftsfahren der Jugend Uhlig (links) und Graf (Mitte) aus.
