For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Krueger Kr-Noa 17.11.1958 Stellungnahme zum Brief des sowjetischen Ministerpräsidenten N.A. Bulgauin UBz: Die Rohrleger Bruno Panhausen (links) und Otto Breuer aus der mechanischen Werkstatt des VEB Stahl- und Walzwerk Brandenburg halten die sowjetischen Vorschläge für eine gute Verhandlungsbasis. Wenn es vorerst auf dem Verhandlungswege auch nur gelänge in Mitteleuropa eine atomwaffenfreie Zone zu schaffen, wäre der Welt schon viel geholfen. Das könnte der erste Schritt zur Annäherung der beiden deutschen Staaten sein.
