For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Siegfried Herrmann, Wolfgang Schotteck mit Trainer Zentralbild Löwe Boy-L 14.4.1958 Deutsche Waldlaufmeisterschaften 1958 in Zittau Am Sonntag, dem 13.4.1958, fanden in Zittau die Deutschen Waldlaufmeisterschaften 1958 statt. Während sich bei den Frauen Antonia Jüttner (DHfK) den Titel sicherte, wurde bei den Männern Siegfried Herrmann (Chemie Halle, 2500 m) bezw. Friedrich Janke (Vorwärts Berlin) über 7500 m neue Meister. UBz: Der Sieger des 2500-m-Laufes, Siegfried Herrmann (rechts) nach dem Lauf im Gespräch mit seinem Clubkameraden Wolfgang Schotteck (links) und dem Verdienten Meister des Sports, Trainer Ewald Mertens.
