Leipzig, Hauptbahnhof, Lokomotive Typ E44 Zentralbild Zühlsdorf 4.6.1958 Leipzig-Bitterfeld elektrisch Nach einer Probefahrt am 31. Mai wird im Juni der elektrische Zugbetrieb auf der Strecke Leipzig-Bitterfeld dem fahrplanmässigen Verkehr übergeben. Damit ist ein weiterer Teilabschnitt im Elektrifizierungsprogramm des mitteldeutschen Raumes fertiggestellt, der der Forderung des zweiten Fünfjahrplanes, die Transportleistungen der Deutschen Reichsbahn auf 132 Prozent zu steigern, gerecht wird. UBz: Die Lok vom Typ E 44 nach der Probefahrt von Bitterfeld nach Leipzig am 31.5. im Leipziger Hauptbahnhof.
