For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. "Zentralbild-Schmidt 23.12.1958 Froe-L Betriebe der VVB Elektrochemie und Plaste verdoppeln Produktion bis 1965. Ãkonomische Konferenz über Aufgaben im Chemieprogramm. Mehr als verdoppeln wird sich die Produktion der Betriebe der VEB Elektrochemie und Plaste bis 1965 gegenüber diesem Jahr. Diese Feststellung traf der Hauptdirektor der VVB, Eberhard Fickler auf einer ökonomischen Konferenz im Klubhaus der Buna-Werke. Er betonte, zur Meisterung dieser Aufgabe müsse jede Quelle zur Steigerung der Arbeitsproduktivität genutzt werden. Fickler forderte die Teilnehmer der Konferenz auf, dazu beizutragen, die Arbeitsweise der VVB und der Betriebe revolutionär zu verändern.
