Der Präsident der Volkskammer, Dr. Johannes Dieckmann, eröffnete die mit Spannung erwartete 10. Sitzung der Obersten Volksvertretung der DDR. Auf der Tagesordnung stehen eine bedeutsame Regierungserklärung, die von Ministerpräsident Otto Grotewohl abgegeben wird, sowie die Verabschiedung des Gesetzes über den Vertrag vom 8. Oktober 1959 über Handel und Seeschiffahrt zwischen der DDR und der Volksrepublik Albanien und die Wahl des Generalstaatsanwalts der DDR.
