For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Überseehafen, Bauarbeiten an der Freilagerfläche Zentralbild Pommerching 15.4.1960 Funktionserprobung im Rostocker Überseehafen Mit der Funktionserprobung der Umschlagseinrichtung wurde jetzt im neuen Rostocker Überseehafen zur Vorbereitung auf die teilweise Inbetriebnahme der Stückgutpier zum 1. Mai begonnen. Die ersten vier Küstenmotorschiffe, darunter ein finnisches, sind bereits gelöscht worden. Die Funktionsproben sind bisher Dank der guten Vorbereitung sehr zufriedenstellend verlaufen, obwohl der Kai noch ein großer Bauplatz ist. UBz: Die Stückgutpier mit der 260 Meter langen Kai wenige tage vor der offiziellen Inbetriebnahme. Im Vordergrund: Letzte Arbeiten an der Freilagerfläche. (Panorama)
