For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Krueger Krue-Qu 5.12.1960 Neue Konstruktionsformen für Chemieanlagen Zu sogenannten Modellkonstruktionen sind die Ingenieure des VEB Schwermaschinenbau "Karl Liebknecht" in Magdeburg bei der Konstruktion von Chemieanlagen übergegangen. Es handelt sich um eine plastische Darstellung der Projekte aus Kunststoff, Metall und Holz im Maßstab 1:20. Für verschiedene Teile der zu bauenden Anlage , wie z.B. das oft umfangreiche Rohrnetz, erübrigen sich jetzt die zeitraubenden technischen Zeichnungen. Bei der Konstruktion einer Erdölaufbereitungsanlage für den VEB Mineralölwerk Lützkendorf verringert sich die Konstruktionszeit um 16 500 Stunden. UBz. Der Leiter des Modellbaus Hans Hesse und Oberingenieur Ullrich (rechts) am Modell einer Chemieanlage."
