For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rumpshagen, Bäuerin mit Ferkel Zentralbild Krisch 7.12.1960 Delegiert zum VI. Deutschen Bauernkongreß. Frau Helene Scharf von der LPG "Bundschuh" Rumpshagen, Kreis Waren, wurde von der Kreisbauernkonferenz nach Rostock delegiert. Ihr obliegt die Schweineaufzucht in der LPG. Hatte die LPG im Januar 1960 noch 34% Ferkelverluste so konnte diese Kollegin Scharf bis Oktober auf 14% senken. Trotz der hohen Sterblichkeit der Ferkel hat sie ein Aufzuchtergebnis von 16 Ferkel pro Sau, die nach 8 Wochen ein Absatzgewicht von 12, 5 kg haben. Durch die gute Aufzucht der Bäuerin Scharf ist es möglich, die Mastzeit der Schweine auf 7 Monate zu bringen. Mit ein Verdienst der Aufzucht ist, daß die Gemeinde schon 2 Quartale Sieger in der Marktproduktion des MTS-Bereiches ist. UBz: Bäuerin Helene Scharf mit einem 3 Wochen alten Ferkel."
