For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Krisch-12.7.1961-Paul Nitsch arbeitet wieder im demokratischen Berlin. Nicht alle Grenzgänger, die der Wohltätigkeit der Westberliner Frontstadtpolitik zum Opfer fielen und sich zur Arbeit in Westberlin abwerben siessen, sind unbelehrbar. So gab beispielsweise der Bauarbeiter Paul Nitsch, der zuletzt bei dem Westberliner Unternehmen Ritzold gearbeitet hat, seine Arbeitsstelle auf, um sich wieder in die Reihen seiner Kollegen im demokratischen Berlin einzureihen. Seit Anfang Juli arbeitet er beim VEB Tiefbau in der Karl-Marx-Allee. UBz: Paul Nitsch, hier in der KarlMarx-Allee, sagt zu seinem Entschluss: "Ich hatte mehrere Unterhaltungen mit Kollegen aus dem demokratischen Berlin, bei denen mir klar wurde, dass es falsch ist, in Westberlin zu arbeiten."
