For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Lange Straße, Möbelkaufhaus, Hafen Zentralbild Burmeister Sta-Kt 2.5.1962 Zur Vorbereitung der Ostseewoche 1962 Aus der Werft- und Hafenstadt Rostock In jedem Jahr erleben die vielen Tausend Besucher aus den nordischen Staaten und Westdeutschland, wie sich stündig das Angesicht der See-, Werft- und Hafenstadt Rostock verschönert hat. In den 17 Jahren seit Kriegsende sind in Rostock rund 12000 neue Wohnungen gebaut worden. Durch den Aufbau des Stadtzentrums, der Altstadt und der neuen Stadtteile Reutershagen und Südstadt, sowie der gplanten Vorstadt Lütten-Klein ist die Peripherie Rostocks weit über seine einstigen Grenzen hinausgewachsen.
