For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Schwerin, Neustadt, Wohnhochhaus Zentralbild Sturm Sta 4.9.1963 Schwerin, Mecklenburg In Schwerins Neustadt sind die Montagearbeiten abgeschlossen. Bis auf die restlichen Innenausbauten sowie eine Oberschule und einen Kindergarten, für die erst die Erschließungsarbeiten angefangen haben, ist die Neustadt fertig. Bis zum tag der Volkswahlen soll die 2390. Wohnung seit 1958 übergeben werden, bei Jahresschluß folgen dann weitere 186 und der letzte Block im Januar 1964. UBz: Blick vom Kindergarten Lamprechtsgrund, der 150 Vorschulkinder aufnehmen kann und im Nationalen Aufbauwerk errichtet wurde, auf ein Wohnhochhaus in der Neustadt.
