For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.

Ausgezeichnete Leistungen gab es bei den Ausscheidungskämpfen der Eiskunstläufer der DDR und Westdeutschlands am 12.12.1963 in der Berliner Werner-Seelenbinder-Halle vor 4500 Zuschauern. Nach der Pflicht am Vormittag wurde am Abend der erste Durchgang der Olympia-Ausscheidungen um die freien vier Plätze für Innsbruck mit dem Kürprogramm beendet. Die Würfel fallen dann endgültig am 19.12.1963 im Westberliner Sportpalast. UBz: Nach ihrem ausgezeichneten Kürlauf freuen sich Sonja Pfersdorf und Günter Matzdorf (Westdeutschland) zusammen mit ihrem "Talismann". -Studré-
