For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Ernst-Thälmann-Platz, Gästehaus "Zur Sonne", Steintor Zentralbild Katscherowski 22.5.1970 Rostock: Arbeiterfestspiele-Festspielzentrum rüstet sich - Rostock, die Stadt der 12. Arbeiterfestspiele, bereitet sich auf einen guten Empfang ihrer Gäste vor. Im Gästehaus "Zur Sonne" am Thälmannplatz (Mitte) wird das Pressezentrum der Festspiele eingerichtet. Von dem direkt im Zentrum gelegenen Gästehaus können die Journalisten schnell die Bühnen und Festspielplätze der Innenstadt erreichen. Unser Foto zeigt links das Rostocker Rathaus, im Hintergrund rechts das historische Steintor.
