For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Bernau, Gaststudent aus der VAR Zentralbild Koard 8.6.70 Freundschaft mit der VAR- Bernau-b.Berlin: Schule der Solidarität - würdiger Vertreter der Arbeiter von Abbu Zabal. Seit 27.4.1970 besucht Kamal Sarhan - hier in einem Gespräch - die Hochschule der Deutschen Gewerkschaften "Fritz Heckert". Er ist Präsident des Komitees der Nationalen Metallarbeitergewerkschaft von Abbu Zabal. In wenigen Tagen geht der Lehrgang in der DDR zu Ende. Sein Wunsch: "Es möge ewige Freundschaft zwischen der DDR und der VAR bestehen sowie zwischen allen fortschrittlichen Menschen der Welt....!" (Serie - 6 Motive - siehe 3, 4, 5, 6, 25 u. 26-1N)
