For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Karl-Marx-Stadt, Bau "Große Stadthalle", Bauarbeiter Zentralbild Thieme 24.7.70 Karl-Marx-Stadt: Stadtzentrum Karl-Marx-Stadt- Ständige Rechenschaft vor den Vertrauensleuten über die Erfüllung des Planes entsprechend dem Zyklogramm bedeutet für die Bauarbeiter von der Baustelle "Grose Stadthalle" Karl-Marx-Stadt, Reserven für ein schnelleres Bautempo zu erschliesen. Damit wollen sie die entstandenen Planrückstände aufholen. Von den Aktiven, denen jeweils fünf bis sieben Bauarbeiter angehören, wurden Anregeungen für die Beseitigung der Stillstandszeiten an den Maschinen und für die konsequente Einhaltung der Arbeitszeit gegeben. Zu ihnen gehört auch der Eisenflechter Michael Paust von der Betonbauerbrigade Schmäschke.
