For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Schichtwechsel im Bergwerk Werra ADN-ZB Schaar 25.6.74 Bez. Suhl: Zum "Tag des Bergmannes der DDR" (7.7.74) Feierabend für die erste Schicht im Betriebsteil "Ernst Thälmann" Merkers. Aus 129 Städten und Gemeinden kommen die mehr als 8000 Kumpel des Kalibetriebes "Werra" im VEB Kombinat Kali. Reichsbahn, Kraftverkehr und Werksverkehr bemühen sich gemeinsam um einen pünktlichen und reibungslosen Berufsverkehr. Im sozialistischen Wettbewerb zu Ehren des 25. Jahrestages der DDR wollen die Kalikumpel den Gegenplan um 10 000t Kalidüngemittel überbieten. (Vergl. hierzu N0625-19N)
