For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Ernte, Erntehelfer, Ablassen von Korn ADN-ZB Ludwig-28.7.74-ba Erfurt: Mähdrescher aus dem Norden der Republik helfen im Bezirk Erfurt. Außer den 75 Mähdreschern haben die Genossenschaftsbauern aus dem Bezirk Schwerin auch ihre Transportfahrzeuge mitgebracht. Seit dem 28.8. leisten sie sozialistische Hilfe in landwirtschaftlichen Betrieben des Bezirkes Erfurt. So wie die Mähdrescherbesatzungen aus beiden Bezirken wetteifern auch die Besatzungen der Transportfahrzeuge um beste Ergebnisse bei der verlustarmen Bergung des Getreides. Hier sorgt Kraftfahrer Heinrich Gahr von der KAP Berge dafür, daß beim Entbunkern keine Getreide "über Bord" geht.
