For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Überseehafen, Frachter ADN-ZB Sindermann 30.1.75-bt - Rostock: Kohle aus der UdSSR brachte der Frachter Espenhain, IMO 5419842, der im Überseehafen anlegte. Reger Schiffbetrieb herrscht in den Hafenbecken des größten DDR-Seeumschlagplatzes. Jedes fünfte Schiff kommt aus dem sowjetischen Freundesland und bringt vorwiegend Metalle, Eisenerz und Apatit. Für einen schnellen Hafendurchlauf der in- und ausländischen Fracher sorgen die Arbeiter des Überseehafens. Durch Anwenden der wissenschaftlichen Arbeitsorganisation nach sowjetischem Vorbild und erfolgreicher Neuerertätigkeit wollen sie die 1974 erreichten Leistungen von mehr als 13 Millionen Tonnen umgeschlagener Güter in diesem Jahr noch erhöhen.
