For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Suhl, Parkplatz, Wohnhochhäuser Zum Beitrag: Besuchermagnet im Tal der Lauter und der Hasel- Die Bezirksstadt Suhl vor ihrer 450-Jahr-Feier ADN-ZB Schaar-4.2.1977-ha. Dies ist ein Blick auf das Zentrum der Bezirksstadt Suhl, die in diesem Jahr im Juli ihr 450jähriges Jubiläum begehen kann. Dahinter erhebt sich der Domberg, in dem früher eisenhaltiges Erz abgebaut wurde, mit primitiven Mitteln versteht sich, was zur Entstehung der jahrhundertealten Tradition des Jagdwaffenhandwerks führte. In der Stadt sind attraktive Neubauten gut mit alten Wohnhäusern vergangener Jahrhunderte verbunden worden, was der Stadt einen besonderen Reiz gibt.
