For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Eugen Ray ADN-ZB Demme 27-8-77 Halle: Klubpokalfinale der DDR-Leichtathleten- Über 100 m gab es durch den Hallenser Eugen Ray (rechts) in 10,13 s den erwarteten Favoritensieg. Er verfehlte seine eigenen DDR-Bestmarke lediglich um eine Hundertstelsekunde. Für den Großteil der DDR Spitzenklasse war dieser Wettbewerb ein erster Test vor dem Weltpokal am kommenden Wochenende in Sinseldorf.
