For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Universitätskirche ADN-ZB Sindermann 1.10.77 Rostock: Großer Publikumsresonanz erfreut sich bei den Rostockern und ihren Gästen die Konzertreihe "Musik in der Universitätskirche", die das Volkstheater Rostock regelmäßig veranstaltet. Klang und Raum vereinen sich bei den Aufführungen in der gotischen Kirche, die Anfang des 14. Jahrhunderts errichtet wurde, zu einem künstlerischen Erlebnis. Beim 12. Konzert dieser Reihe wurden Werke von Gabrieli, Monteverd, Cesti und Giacomo Carissimi aufgeführt. Für das Oratorium "Jephte" von Carissime besorgte Hans Werner Henze - in Rostock durch die DDR-Erstaufführung seines Rezitals "El Cimarron" gut bekannt - die Neuinstrumentierung. Das Werk wurde während dieses Konzerts für die DDR erstaufgeführt. Unter der Leitung von Gerd Puls musizierte das Philharmonische Orchester des Volkstheaters Rostock mit mehreren Solisten sowie dem Opernchor und dem Kinderchor der Rostocker Singakademie.
