Summary[edit]
DescriptionBurial cairn, Cat Law - geograph.org.uk - 12179.jpg |
English: Burial cairn, Cat Law. Highland and Lowland are divided by a straight line, a fault running southwest to north east across Scotland. Cat Law (671m) is one of the highest points near the fault and as a result gives a dramatic view.
The ground drops away to the flat farmland of Strathmore and the distant North Sea. Behind the photographer the view is very different, rolling high level moorland. The cairn is an ancient burial cairn, such a viewpoint must have had great status once. Cat Law is clearly visible from a large area. |
