| Description |
English: Looking across the Express Tracks from the Woodlawn-bound platform along the East Harlem-bound platform of the Burnside Avenue Elevated Railroad Station on the IRT Jerome Avenue Line between the Morris Heights and University Heights sections of The Bronx, New York City. The original intent of this picture was to show the sign along the 125th Street-bound platform, but that sign is hidden under the canopy, so I had to make a cropped version of the same image, which sadly didn't help that much. At least I got a shot of the exit between that platform and the station house beneath the tracks. The sign for the 4 train leads down to the 125th Street along the IRT Lexington Avenue Line through Manhattan and into Brooklyn on a few stations on the IRT Eastern Parkway Line except late-nights where it not only stops there, but on the IRT New Lots Line. |
