| Description |
English: Buttermere Church Buttermere church is dedicated to St James and is situated above the village near the junction of the roads to the Honister and Newlands passes. The present building dates from 1840, and was restored in 1930, however there was an earlier chapel on the site which was consecrated in 1507. |
