Español: CGT (Confederación General de Trabajadores).Homenaje a los trabajadores chilenos de la época. El 21 de diciembre ocurrieron hechos en la oficina de San Lorenzo que culminaron con la trágica masacre del Colegio Santa María de Iquique, que constituyó uno de los hitos más emblemáticos del movimiento obrero chileno. La mediación del gobierno durante la huelga, su masividad y su fatal desenlace, dieron una especial connotación al conflicto, además de afectar profundamente a la actividad salitrera.
English: Tribute to the Chilean workers of the time. On December 21, events occurred at the San Lorenzo office that culminated in the tragic massacre of the Santa María de Iquique School, which constituted one of the most emblematic milestones of the Chilean labor movement. The mediation of the government during the strike, its massiveness and its fatal outcome, gave a special connotation to the conflict, in addition to deeply affecting the nitrate activity.
