| Description |
Nederlands: Repronegatief. In de tweede helft van de 19e eeuw werden er op de meeste bosexploitatieterreinen rails aangelegd, waarover wagens met hout getrokken werden. Aanvankelijk gebeurde dat door trekdieren, later door stoomlocs. Men vervoerde de stammen en balken lang niet altijd meer naar een rivier, maar naar een terrein naast de normale spoorlijn. Het hout kon zo verder over het hoofdnet van de spoorwegen vervoerd worden naar de hoofdstapelplaatsen of naar de afnemers. (P. Boomgaard, 2001).
