Description
Nederlands: Trom. Keteltrom, hol, gemaakt van een koperlegering met vier handvatten. Op beide brede gedeeltes 4 ruitvormige versieringen met fantastische mensenkoppen. De keteltrom of Moko werd tot het begin van de 20e eeuw gebruikt als betaalmiddel. In 1914 werd dit afgeschaft en verboden (behalve nog bij bruidsschatten). Om zoveel mogelijk mokos uit de circulatie te halen kon er nog belasting mee betaald worden. De 1300 mokos die zo ingeleverd werden, werden plat geslagen en als oud metaal verkocht. Er zijn meer dan 2000 keteltrommen bewaard gebleven.

Oude mokos zouden vooroudergeesten huisvesten en werden als zodanig vereerd.
