English: Caernarfon Castle Caernarfon Castle is one of a number of castles built in Wales by Edward I in the late 13th century as part of his conquest of the Principality. The building of Caernarfon Castle started in the 1280s; the architect for the first building phase was Master James of St George, between 1283-92, £12,000 was spent on the building work. |
