Description
Português: Cais no porto fluvial do Pomarão, no Rio Guadiana, situado no Concelho de Mértola, em Portugal. O caminho de ferro de São Domingos transportava minério desde as minas até este porto, sendo então descarregado para os navios e levado para o estrangeiro. Esta imagem foi publicada na Ilustração Portuguesa n.º 85, de 7 de Outubro de 1907, e digitalizada pela Hemeroteca Municipal de Lisboa.
English: Pier on the Pomarão fluvial harbour, on the Guadiana River, located in the Mértola Municipality, in Portugal. The São Domingos railway transported the ore from the mines to this harbour, where it was unloaded into ships and exported abroad. This image was published on the Ilustração Portuguesa magazine No. 85, of the 7th October 1907, and scanned by the Hemeroteca Municipal de Lisboa.
