Français : Ce portrait de femme est une "oeuvre de caprice" de Jean-Jacques Henner qui a représenté de nombreuses têtes féminines simplement vêtues. Cette peinture figure Alice, un modèle récurrent chez l'artiste, vêtue d'un habit noir avec une touche de rouge. La jeune femme, dressée ici en allégorie de la Candeur, a les yeux baissés et le regard noir derrière une frange. Le fond sombre, comme ses vêtements, crée un clair-obscur avec la peau pâle du modèle. |
