| Description |
English: Junctions east of Canning Town, Docklands Light Railway. View eastward from a DLR train towards London City Airport and Woolwich Arsenal, with a Beckton branch train approaching. In the centre is the entry to the LUL Jubilee Line Extension (JLE) towards North Greenwich and London, with a westbound train approaching it. All this is recent development, the DLR to Beckton dating from 3/94, the line to Woolwich, opened to King George V in 12/05, throughout in 1/09, supplanting the ex-GE Stratford - North Woolwich line dating from the 1850s. Not seen here, the ex-GER Goods branch to Thames Wharf curves to the right. |
