| Description |
Incised valley network located in Tyrrhena Terra imaged by Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) on November 30, 2011. This valley was probably carved by an ancient river system. The channel now directs the flow of wind, forming dunes along the former river path. This image combines color data collected by MRO's CRISM spectrometer and CTX camera system to produce a true-color image. This image uses CRISM stamp 21A07.
