The Humayun's Tomb, one of the ultimate monuments in New Delhi, is a masterpiece crafted by the Mughals

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Humayun's Tomb (Persian: Maqbara-i Humayun) is located in Delhi, India, and serves as the final resting place of Humayun. Empress Bega Begum, his first wife and chief consort, commissioned the tomb in 1558 and selected Persian architects Mirak Mirza Ghiyas and his son, Sayyid Muhammad, for its design. Notably, it was among the earliest structures to utilize red sandstone extensively. In 1993, Humayun's Tomb earned UNESCO World Heritage Site status and has since undergone a thorough restoration, which is now complete.

This garden-tomb is significant as the first of its kind in the Indian subcontinent and is situated in Nizamuddin East, Delhi, near the Dina-panah Citadel, also known as Purana Qila (Old Fort), founded by Humayun in 1538.

However, it's essential for viewers to understand that capturing images of famous monuments can be extremely challenging. These sites are often crowded with visitors ( including international tourists ) as soon as the gates open, making it difficult to create clean and clear images in the presence of crowds.
