Description
The experts at Bruun Rasmussen saw this as a ship of the line, but omitted the reason for this interesting choice. It was a smaller ship, with no rig. It might have been an early lightship or similar vessel, or perhaps just a hulk from a former naval ship. Dahl made another drawing to similar size in 1841, so this work could have been made at the same time. Both drawings were part of the lot.
