Pentolaccia Casamassimese, the Casamassima Carnival, is celebrated on the first Saturday and Sunday of Lent. It was born in 1977 with the aim of making the locals spend a day full of madness. Since then, every year in the small town of Bari, the art of papier-mâché is celebrated with a parade of majestic floats, the result of the inspiration and creativity of the papier-mâché masters. All this is accompanied by masked balls and the opening of the characteristic Pentolaccia full of gifts and surprises. |
