Description

Palacete do Século XVII. Julga-se que a denominação “Mores” advém do facto de aqui terem residido alguns Capitães-Mores de Lamego. Os últimos fidalgos que habitaram este solar foram os Osórios. O edifício, embora deturpado ulteriormente, apresenta-se grandioso, de linhas simples mas corretas, com dois brasões expostos nos dois ângulos. Ambos os brasões ostentam chapéus eclesiásticos. O do lado direito do edifício tem os sinais heráldicos dos Coelhos, enquanto que o do ângulo esquerdo, esquartelado, tem no primeiro e quarto quartéis os Botelhos (com menos uma banda), no segundo quartel os Monteiros e o terceiro, com três flores–de-lis, poderá representar os Guedes. Em 1931 foi ali criado o Internato Académico de Lamego, a princípio misto e depois masculino. Posteriormente ali funcionou, por largos anos, a Casa de Saúde de Lamego, acabando por encerrar. Há poucos anos o solar foi adquirido por particular para ali instalar escritórios.
