Description
English: The festival involves a lot of celebrations including a competition between various percussive groups of devotees, which are reviewed by judges. The festival goes on late into the night with a lot of fanfare and festivities. The temple is dedicated to the Indian goddess Kali. In her various forms she is worshipped as the goddess of change, power, destruction, creation and the destroyer of evil
