Esposo de Cassiopeia y padre de Andrómeda. Constelación del Hemisferio: NORTE. Nombres de las Estrellas: Alfa, ALDERAMIN - Del árabe: adh-Dirah al-Yamin, "el antebrazo derecho". Estrella blanca. Será la estrella más brillante cerca del Polo Norte, entre los siglos LXVI al LXXXIV, (desde el año 6500 al 8300 d.C.). Beta, ALFIRK - Del árabe: Kawakib al-Firq, "las estrellas de la manada" (estrellas alfa, beta y eta Cepheus). Estrella variable blanca, período 0,19 de día. Será la estrella más brillante cerca del Polo Norte entre los siglos LI al LXV, (desde el año 5000 al 6400 d.C.). Gamma, ERRAI - Del árabe: ar-Ra'i, "el pastor". Estrella anaranjada. Será la estrella mas brillante cerca del Polo Norte entre los siglos XXXI al LI (desde el año 3000 al 5000 d.C., aproximadamente), siguiendo a POLARIS y precediendo a ALFIRK. Kappa, SHANG WEI - Del chino. Mu, GARNET STAR - Del inglés. Xi A yB, KURHAH - Del árabe: al-Qurha, "la estrellita (en la frente del caballo)". Estrella blanca. Rho, AL KALB AL RAI - Del árabe: el perro del pastor. |
