Summary[edit]

A drawing of the proposed facade of the house which the Duke of Chandos intended to build on the north side of Cavendish Square, London published in 1720. That same year the Duke lost heavily in the South Sea Bubble, and he had to settle for building a much smaller house on just part of the site.
