A window well showing the original plaster walls on either side encased in glass. A few through the window shows the elaborate 20th Century gardens. On the window seat, three printed text pages with photos stand as temporary exhibit panels.

To supplement the current stories at Chatham, staff have printed information about women at Chatham, including Dr. Mary Walker and Ellen Harris, who assisted with the hospital at Chatham in 1862 and 1863.
